Graham Lea lives in Sydney, Australia and has been building software commercially since everyone else finished fixing the Y2K bugs. The majority of his work has been in Java, but he is also passionate about the power and simplicity of *nix command-line tools and is currently learning how to apply the benefits of Scala to real world applications.
Graham's experience is primarily in building distributed enterprise systems, a focus which has seen him work with remote telco devices, globe-trotting sensors, geospatial analysis and video download services. He currently works at Tyro Payments, where the Engineering team is using Extreme Programming to deliver the next generation of EFTPOS payment solutions.
Graham has been an avid user of IntelliJ IDEA since its first release and has especially benefited from its tools for Intentional Programming.
Graham blogs about his experiences with Scala (and anything vaguely related) at grahamhackingscala.blogspot.com.
