Using Command Line Tools
You can run command line commands right from IntelliJ IDEA. Just configure the commands that fit your preferences and needs as a command line tool and register it in IntelliJ IDEA. You can have as many command line tools as you need.
Integration with command line tools is provided at the IntelliJ IDEA level, so once configured, a tool can be used in all your IntelliJ IDEA projects. Just activate or de-activate it when necessary depending on the needs of each specific project.
Integration with command line tools is supported via the Command Line Tool Support plugin.
The plugin is not bundled with IntelliJ IDEA, but it is available from the JetBrains plugin repository. Once enabled, the plugin is available at the IDE level, that is, you can use it in all your IntelliJ IDEA projects. See Installing, Updating and Uninstalling Repository Plugins and Enabling and Disabling Plugins for details.
Before you start working with Command Line tools, make sure that Command Line Tool support plugin is downloaded and enabled, as described in the section Installing, Updating and Uninstalling Plugins.
