Open Source License
Always happy to give support to non-commercial projects, JetBrains is happy to announce that we are now inviting all Open Source projects to apply for FREE license keys for industry leading Java IDE, IntelliJ IDEA.
This initiative implies that JetBrains will grant IntelliJ IDEA licenses to projects that:
- are open source
- have a devoted web-site
- have an established, vital and active community
Licenses will be valid for one year and will cover all product upgrades during this period. Annual renewals will be required for continued use to ensure that the project is still "alive".
JetBrains' relationship with Open Source partners is regulated by the License Agreement for Open Source Software Development. If you accept all of its terms and conditions, and meet the definition of Open Source (http://www.opensource.org/docs/definition_plain.html) please contact Ilya.Dumov@jetbrains.com.
When applying for the Open Source License, please include the following in your e-mail:
- URL of the project's website
- URL of the project's community
- Some evidence of your engagement in the project
- License registration name you prefer
