IntelliJ IDEA helps define settings and structure of a template project.

These settings are used as defaults every time you create a new project.

To access the template project settings
  • On the main menu, choose File | Other Settings | Template Settings, then define the desired settings in the Settings dialog box, that opens.
To access the template project structure
  • On the main menu, choose File | Other Settings | Template Project Structure, then define the desired settings in the Project Structure dialog box, that opens.
