Your projects can include files protected by copyright. To avoid individual editing of the copyright notices, IntelliJ IDEA helps storing copyright notice definitions at the project level as copyright profiles. Being associated with scopes, such profiles can be applied to different parts of your project.
Every new file in the project is supplied with the copyright notice defined in the profile which is associated with the scope the file belongs to.
The following is available only in the Ultimate edition of IntelliJ IDEA A copyright profile can contain an explicit plain text of the copyright notice or its definition through a Velocity
template.
You can type the desired text or a Velocity template manually or import a copyright notice definition from an existing profile.
Tip
Before using copyright profiles, make sure that the Copyright plugin is enabled.
