Assembly Descriptor References - Web Service References pane

The dialog box opens when you click the Add button add and select Web Service Reference in the context menu.

Use this dialog box to specify the properties of the <service-ref> element.

ItemProperty generated in web.xmlDescription
Name <service-ref-name> In this field, specify the name of the Web service used in the code of the Web application.
Type <service-ref-type> In this field, specify the class that implements the reference.
browseButton Click this button to open the Choose Class dialog box.
Service Interface <service-interface> In this field, specify the class that implements the Web service interface.
ellypsis Click this button to open the Choose Class dialog box.
JAX-RPC Mapping File <jaxrpc-mapping-file> In this field, specify the set of JAX-RPC mappings.
WSDL File <wsdl-file> In this field, specify the absolute file path, relative file path, or URL to the Web service definition (WSDL) file.
Service QName <service-qname> In this field, specify the qualified name of the service in the WSDL file.

Note

The field is enabled only after you specify the WSDL file name.

Description <description> In this field, provide a description of the Web service reference.
