- Start creating a run/debug configuration.
- Clear the Choose Target Device Manually check box
and click the Browse button
next to the Prefer Android Virtual Device for Deployment drop-down list.
- In the Select Android Virtual Device dialog box that opens click the Create button.
- In the Create Android Virtual Device dialog box that opens specify the name of the device and the build target, which determines the Android platform to have the application built against Optionally specify the skin to control the screen dimensions and the SD card to use.
- Select the desired run/debug configuration with manual virtual device creation enabled.
- Start a run or debug session.
- In the Choose Device dialog box that opens click the Launch Emulator button.
- In the Select Android Virtual Device dialog box that opens click the Create button.
- In the Create Android Virtual Device dialog box that opens specify the name of the device and the build target to use. Optionally specify the skin to control the screen dimensions and the SD card to use.
- Click OK, when ready. The Select Android Virtual Device dialog box opens, where the new device is added to the list.
- Open the desired a run/debug configuration.
- Click the Browse button
next to the Prefer Android Virtual Device for Deployment drop-down list.
- In the Select Android Virtual Device dialog box, select the desired device and click the Remove button.
