This dialog window opens after you make your selection in the Add OSGi Framework drop-down list.
You can select from the following options:

  • Concierge - an optimized OSGi R3 framework.
  • Equinox - a framework that underlies the Eclipse IDE.
  • Felix - an implementation derived from the first open source implementation (Oscar).
  • Knopflerfish - an open source implementation of Makewave.

Item Description
Home directory Use this field to specify the location of the selected framework instance. Click the Browse button browseButton.png and select the desired folder in the dialog that opens.
  • Concierge - the base directory for this framework instances is an installation folder that contains concierge*.jar files and bundles.
  • Equinox - the base directory for this framework instances is an installation folder that contains plugins folder.
  • Knopflerfish - the base directory for this framework instances is an installation folder that contains osgi folder.
  • Felix - the base directory for this framework instances is an installation folder that contains bundle.

Tip

Please, refer to the description of the relevant framework integrator for detailed requirements to the folder layout.

Name In this text box, type the name of the new framework instance.
Version In this text box, type the framework version to base the definition on.
