To find a text string in the message history of a user in your contact list
  1. Show the IDEtalk Messages window for the selected user on your contact list. To do that, choose Message history on the context menu, or press Alt+F7Alt+F7.
  2. In the IDEtalk Messages tool window, click the searchHistoryIcon  button on the toolbar. The Search Messages History for <user name> dialog appears.
  3. Type the search string and click Search. The found occurrences display in the Search Results for <user name> window.
  4. To navigate between the search results, press F3; Ctrl+LF3; Control L.

Tip

The history of your communications is kept in IntelliJ IDEA's settings folder USER_HOME\.IntelliJIdeaXX\system\ideTalk\history.
