IntelliJ IDEA provides a dedicated tool window for working with Spring Roo console.
When typing commands in the Roo console, you can use code completion and quick documentation lookup (Ctrl+Q or Alt+Button2 ClickCtrl+Q or Alt+Button2 ClickCtrl+Q or Alt+Button2 ClickCtrl+Q or Alt+Button2 ClickCtrl+Q or Alt+Button2 ClickCtrl+Q or Alt+Button2 ClickCtrl+QCtrl+Q or Alt+Button2 ClickAlt+Button2 Click, Ctrl+Shift+Space or F2F1, Control J or Control Button2 ClickControl J or Control Button2 ClickAlt Button2 Click or F2). Any changes made to the source code via the console are shown in the editor. The history of your interactions with the console is stored in the log.roo file located in the root directory of your project.

If you haven't downloaded and installed Spring Roo yet, you can use the Roo download page link provided in
the Roo Tool Configuration dialog. This is the link to the page from which you can download the software.
Download and install Roo. For system requirements and installation instructions, refer to Spring Roo documentation.
- In the Roo home field, specify the path to the Spring Roo installation directory. Type the path in the field, or click (Shift+EnterShift+EnterShift+EnterShift+EnterShift+EnterShift+EnterShift+EnterShift+EnterShift+EnterShift EnterShift EnterShift Enter) and select the installation folder in the dialog that opens.
As a result, the Spring Roo console opens in the Roo Console tool window.
