Description: WebSite (C# or VB) hosted on IIS Express isn't correctly recognized by dotTrace Performance as startup project in Visual Studio 2012.
Affected version: dotTrace Performance 5.3.
Status: Scheduled to be fixed in dotTrace 6.0 Performance.
Workaround: No workaround available.
Windows Store application profiling error
Description: When starting profiling Windows Store application appears the following error message: "Can't start application.
See below for more details: Can't enable debugging (COM error 80040154 - Class not registered)".
Affected version: dotTrace Performance 5.3.
Status: The problem is neither caused nor can be resolved by dotTrace Performance.
Workaround: Log off and log in again.
Empty "Process" dropdown and disabled buttons when profiling Windows Store applications
Description: Due to user folder rights settings in Windows 8, profiling Windows Store applications can be unavailable: dotTrace Performance Controller has an empty "Process" dropdown and all the buttons are disabled.
Affected version: dotTrace Performance 5.3.
Status: Scheduled to be fixed in dotTrace 6.0 Performance, corresponding issue.
When profiling Windows Store application, stopping the application doesn't produce a snapshot
Description: When profiling Windows Store application, stopping the application doesn't automatically produce a snapshot. To get the snapshot please click "Get Snapshot" button in dotTrace Performance Controller.

Profiling can fail on VS 2012 projects using SQL Server
Description: Profiling, especially tracing and line-by-line, can fail on
Visual Studio 2012 projects using SQL Server due to Microsoft's profiling API.

Random profiler crashes while profiling .NET Framework 2.0 applications
Description: Sometimes when profiling .NET Framework 2.0 applications in dotTrace Performance, the controller window displays the "Show events log" link and if you click it, dotTrace Performance shows an error.
Affected version: All dotTrace Performance versions.
Status: The problem is neither caused nor can be resolved by dotTrace Performance.
Workaround: Install all available Windows updates including optional updates.
Source code preview is sometimes not available while profiling unit tests
Description: When profiling unit tests via ReSharper integration, dotTrace Performance is not detecting test assembly PDBs and doesn't display source code of the unit tests in
Source View area.
Affected version: All dotTrace Performance versions.
Status: Scheduled to be fixed in dotTrace 6.0 Performance.
Workaround: In Visual Studio, choose ReSharper | Options. Under Tools | Unit
Testing, disable Shadow-copy assemblies being tested.

Functions not highlighted in Source View when profiling MSpec unit tests
Description: When working with a snapshot of a MSpec unit test session, you can see the corresponding source code in
Source View but you can't see highlightings for particular functions that you select in a snapshot view.
