Blank Lines

ReSharper | Options | Code Editing | C# | Formatting Style | Blank Lines

This page lets you configure whether ReSharper should increase or decrease the number of blank lines around namespaces, members, regions and groups of import directives. You can adjust the values and check the preview pane in the bottom of the page to see how your preferences affect the code.

Options in the Preserve Existing Formatting section are applied when ReSharper reformats existing code whereas the Blank Lines section contains options that take effect when you type new code.

The options that you configure on this page apply in the following cases:

To configure auto-formatting of new code, use the Auto-format on semicolon and Auto-format on closing brace options in the ReSharper | Options | Environment | Editor | Editor Behavior.
