Code Analysis features are available in: ReSharper Full Edition and ReSharper C# Edition
To obtain details on an error, suggestion, warning, or hint
  • Position the caret at a highlighted symbol or expression, and the corresponding message will appear in the status bar:
    Local variable is declared but never used (status bar)
  • Place a mouse pointer over any highlighted expression to get a tooltip with the corresponding message:
    Local variable is declared but never used (tooltip)
  • Put the mouse pointer at a colored marker in the Marker Bar that corresponds to a highlighted expression, and a tooltip will appear:
    Local variable is declared but never used (marker bar)

     Note

    This technique doesn't apply to hints.
