Replaces simple properties and corresponding backing fields with auto-properties.

To use auto-property
  1. Choose ReSharper | Options | Tools | Code Cleanup.
  2. Create a new profile as described in Creating Custom Profiles . In the Selected profile settings section for the new profile select Use auto-property, if possible check box.
  3. Click OK to save the new profile and close the ReSharper Options dialog box.
  4. Open the Code Cleanup dialog box from the text editor or Solution Explorer as described in Running Code Cleanup .
  5. When the Code Cleanup dialog box opens, select the newly created profile in the Available Profiles area.
  6. Click Run to perform Code Cleanup. ReSharper will replace properties with auto-properties..

Using ‘var’ in Declaration

Changes implicit type usages to 'var' or vice versa. Provides three options: Replace direction, 'foreach' iterator declaration style, and Local variable declaration style.

To use 'var' in declaration
  1. Choose ReSharper | Options | Tools | Code Cleanup.
  2. Create a new profile as described in Creating Custom Profiles . In the Selected profile settings section for the new profile you can set three options which define when 'var' should be used. Values that can be set are described in Creating Custom Profiles .
  3. Click OK to save the new profile and close the ReSharper Options dialog box.
  4. Open the Code Cleanup dialog box from the text editor or Solution Explorer as described in Running Code Cleanup .
  5. When the Code Cleanup dialog box opens, select the newly created profile in the Available Profiles area.
  6. Click Run to perform Code Cleanup. ReSharper will convert variable declarations according to your settings.
