The Collapse All feature helps collapse any node in Solution Explorer along with all its subnodes

As a means of switching between contexts, this feature matches well with Locate in Solution Explorer. For example, you can start with collapsing a project, and proceed with expanding nodes that you currently need using Locate in Solution Explorer.

To collapse a node and all its subnodes in Solution Explorer
  1. Right-click a node in Solution Explorer.
  2. Select Collapse All from the context menu. The selected node and all its subnodes will be collapsed.
