ReSharper Help: Code Style Sharing

Code Style settings sharing and scope:

• Not shared, applies to all solutions opened by current user
• Shared across the team, per solution
• Not shared, per solution, stored in a file

Not shared, applies to all solutions opened by current user: If this option is selected, code style settings are available for the current user only, across all solutions on the user machine. In Windows, these settings are stored in <Current User>/Application Data/JetBrains/ReSharper/<ReSharper version>/<Visual Studio version>/UserSettings.xml.

Shared across the team, per solution: If this option is selected, code style settings for the current solution are maintained separately. If put under version control, they can be made available to the entire team that works on the specific solution. The shared solution settings are stored in the <Solution name>.<ReSharper version>.resharper file under the root directory of the specific solution.

Not shared, per solution, stored in a file: If this option is selected, code style settings are stored in a specific xml file and are not shared with other team members.
