You can export a template to an XML file to distribute or share with other developers.

You can also import templates. To be imported correctly, a template file must have been created with ReSharper.

To export templates
  1. On the main menu, choose ReSharper | Live Templates | <template type>.
  2. Click Export Export to File in the Templates Explorer toolbar.

  3. In the Export Templates dialog box, select the templates that you would like to export.
  4. Specify a target XML file, using the Browse button if necessary. Click OK.
To import templates
  1. On the main menu, choose ReSharper | Live Templates | <template type>.
  2. Click Import in the Templates Explorer toolbar. The Open Templates File dialog box opens.
  3. Specify an XML file that ReSharper should use to import templates.
  4. Click OK.
