You can export a template to a separate file to distribute or share with other developers.
You can also import templates. To be imported correctly, a template file must have been created with ReSharper.
To export templates
- On the main menu, choose ReSharper | Templates Explorer.
- Click one of three tabs depending on what template you want to modify.
- Optionally, choose a layer by clicking its name in the Layer drop-down list.
- Click the appropriate scope and templates to be exported.
- Click Export
on the toolbar. The Save As dialog opens.
- Type a file name in the File name box.
- Optionally, change the type using the Save as type list.
- Click Save to complete the export process.
To import templates
- On the main menu, choose ReSharper | Templates Explorer.
- Click one of three tabs depending on what template you want to modify.
- Optionally, choose a layer by clicking its name in the Layer drop-down list.
- Click Import
on the toolbar. The Open Templates File dialog opens.
- Specify a file that ReSharper should use to import templates.
- Click Open.
