ReSharper 8.0 Web Help

ReSharper | Options | Code Editing | C# | Formatting Style | Braces Layout

Use this page to adjust the way ReSharper inserts braces and reformats your code; in particular, there are several ways to force ReSharper to enclose single operators in braces (for example, after if or for operators).

Options in the Braces Layout section are applied when you type your code from scratch. On the other hand, the Force Braces section defines how ReSharper should reformat existing code. For every item in both sections, there's a preview pane in the bottom part of the tab where you can observe changes after selecting options in drop-down lists.

Note

ReSharper's settings are saved in settings layers that enable you to have different settings for different solutions as well as to share your settings with your team. To learn more, study the Managing and Sharing Options section.
