Reset Master Password Dialog
In this dialog box, specify or reset the master password for accessing the database where passwords for remote repositories are stored.
When you reset the master password, RubyMine clears the history of all the previously existed master passwords.
|New Password||In this text box, type the master password to use.|
|Confirm New Password||In this text box, repeat the master password to use.|
|Encrypt the master password with user credentials||When this check box is selected, RubyMine encrypts the specified master password with your system login and password
and does not request you to type the master password in the future.
|Set Password||Click this button to have RubyMine save and use the specified master password. The button is available in the Master Password dialog box, which opens when you set the master password for the first time.|
|Reset Password||Click this button to have RubyMine save and use the specified master password and clear the history of previous master passwords. The button is available in the Reset Master Password dialog box.|
Specify your new master password.
You can set the password empty. As a result, RubyMine won't ask you for the password when accessing the password database. However, the security of your passwords in that case will be lower.
To come back to the previous dialog, click Enter or Change.
|New password||Specify your new master password.|
|Confirm password||Type the new master password once more.|
|Encrypt with OS user credentials||
For Windows only: if you select this check box,
the master password itself will be stored encrypted in the password database.
(Your Windows logon credentials will be used for encryption.)
As a result, RubyMine won't ask you for the master password when accessing the password database.
|Enter or Change||If you decided not to reset the password (e.g. you remembered it), click this button to come back to the previous dialog. This may be the Enter Master Password or the Change Master Password dialog.|
