How TeamCity is licensed?
TeamCity is licensed per user account. A number of purchased licenses enables a customer to create the corresponding number of user accounts for TeamCity.
Can I install multiple instances of the Server Program and other programs that are part of TeamCity on the same machine or on multiple machines?
Yes, this is not restricted by the TeamCity licensing policy.
Can I purchase one TeamCity license for multiple users?
No, one license allows you to create one account for a single user.
Can I create multiple accounts for a single user on the same instance of Server Program or on its multiple instances?
Yes, but you will need to purchase a license for each account. The total number of accounts on all instances of the Server Program may not exceed the total number of licenses which you have obtained for TeamCity.
Can I transfer an existing account to another user for temporary use of TeamCity?
No, only a specific user may use his/her account. However, if the initial user quits the company or otherwise ceases using TeamCity, his/her account may be re-registered to another user.
Does my IntelliJ IDEA license qualify me for free use of TeamCity?
Only IntelliJ IDEA new or upgrade licenses purchased until January 15, 2007 qualify for free use of TeamCity 2.0.
