Welcome Screen | Create New Project

Use this dialog box to generate a project stub for developing Web applications. WebStorm generates project stubs based on the following templates:

HTML5 Boilerplate, Twitter Bootstrap, and Foundation for client-side application stubs.
Express and Node Boilerplate for the server-side applications using Node.js. Generating such application stubs requires that Node.js is supported in WebStorm:
1. The Node.js plugin is enabled. The plugin is bundled with WebStorm and activated by default. If it is not, enable the plugin in the Plugins page of the Settings dialog box (File | Settings | Plugins).
2. The Node.js framework is downloaded and installed on your computer.
Dart applications. Generating Dart application stubs requires that Dart is supported in WebStorm:
1. the Dart plugin is enabled. The plugin is bundled with WebStorm and activated by default. If it is not, enable the plugin.
2. The Dart SDK is available on your computer.

Item	Description
Project name	In this text box, type the name of the new project.
Location	In this text box, specify the location of the folder where the project-related files will be stored. Type the path manually or click the Browse button and select the folder where the project will be created.
Project type	Use this drop-down list to specify whether you need just an empty project folder or you want WebStorm to generate the project structure based on a template. The choice of the template depends on the type of your application. The available options are: Empty: choose this option to get just a project folder without any contents. HTML5 Boilerplate: choose this option to have the project structure set up and some sources generated based on the HTML5 Boilerplate template. Twitter Bootstrap: choose this option to have the project structure set up and some sources generated based on the Twitter Bootstrap template. Foundation: choose this option to have the project structure set up and some sources generated based on the Foundation framework. Node.js ExpressApp: choose this option to have the project structure set up and some project sources generated based on the Express framework. Node.js Boilerplate: choose this option to have the project structure set up and some project sources generated based on the Express framework. Dart Web Application: choose this option to have the project structure set up and some sources generated for a Dart application.
OK	Click this button to create a new project.
Cancel	Click this button to cancel operation and close the dialog box.
