Keyboard Support
YouTrack provides enough keyboard support to let you forget about using the mouse in most cases. Creating, editing and navigating between issues, commenting, changing attributes — whatever you need to do, keep in mind the following shortcuts.
Navigation Shortcuts
| Shortcut* | Usage |

| Esc | Switches between the search box and the list of issues. If issues are selected in the list of issues, deselects them. In other contexts (in the Command window, issue editing mode etc.), acts as the Cancel button. |
| Down | Moves from the search box to the list of issues. |
| Up | Moves from the top issue in the list of issues to the search box. |
| Right | Expands an issue in the list of issues. |
| Left | Collapses an issue in the list of issues. |
| Enter | Opens an issue highlighted in the list of issues in a separate page (enters full issue view). |
| Ctrl+Right | Navigates to the next page in the list of issues. |
| Ctrl+Left | Navigates to the previous page in the list of issues. |
| Ctrl+Shift+Right | Navigates to the last page in the list of issues. |
| Ctrl+Shift+Left | Navigates to the first page in the list of issues. |
| Space | Selects an issue in the list of issues. |
| Shift+Up | Navigates up the list of issues, selecting issues that it passes along the way. |
| Shift+Down | Navigates down the list of issues, selecting issues that it passes along the way. |
| Ctrl+A | Selects or deselects all issues in the current page. |
| Ctrl+Shift+C | In full issue view, switches to the Comments tab. |
| Ctrl+Shift+H | In full issue view, switches to the History tab. |
| Ctrl+Up | Navigates back from full issue view to the list of issues. |
| Ctrl+Alt+Plus/Minus | Toggles between issue list views. |
Create/Edit Shortcuts

Opens a form to create a new issue. |
| F2 | Switches to issue editing mode. |
| Ctrl+Alt+J or any letter | Opens the Command window. |
| Ctrl+Alt+C | Opens a form to comment an issue. |
| Ctrl+Alt+P | Switches preview mode in the Issue Area on/off. |
| Ctrl+Enter | Acts as the OK button when creating or editing issues, in the Command window and in other contexts. |
