JetBrains Omea Public Beta released
A new JetBrains product Omea (code-named "OmniaMea" during its Early Access program) has entered its first public Beta release.
Omea is an extremely powerful yet simple to use "Integrated Information Environment". With Omea, you can access, organize, and quickly search all your digital resources, including e-mails, syndicated Web feeds, instant messaging conversations, newsgroup articles, favorite web sites, personal contacts, and even locally stored files (.doc, .pdf, .txt, etc.), all in one easy to use composite interface that's well organized and efficient to navigate.
You can download JetBrains Omea Public Beta 1.0 for a limited time at http://download.jetbrains.com/omniamea/OmeaSetup-283.14.exe.
A time-limited license enabling all features is included in the download.

JetBrains/Compuware announcing integration agreement at JavaOne
JetBrains and Compuware are jointly announcing an agreement to integrate IntelliJ™ IDEA into Compuware's OptimalJ 3.2 Developer Edition. According to Compuware, OptimalJ "accelerates J2EE development by generating working applications directly from visual models."
JavaOne attendees: Get a sneak peek at upcoming release 4.5 of IntelliJ IDEA. Pick up a fully functional, pre-release demo disk at the JetBrains booth #1430. This will not be available elsewhere before the general release, currently planned for the first half of July.
