This page lists notable user-facing changes to Air Governance, grouped by week.

## Week of October 25, 2026

New: Air Context integration
: Air Context indexes your organization's Git repositories and lets AI agents search them semantically instead of running ad-hoc searches and file reads. Admins control which repositories are indexed and how on the new Air Context page in JetBrains Console.
:
:
:
:
:
: See [Air Context indexing](jetbrains-context.html).

## Week of October 18, 2026

New: GitHub Copilot support in JetBrains Central CLI
: You can now use GitHub Copilot as a coding agent through JetBrains Central CLI, alongside Claude Agent, Codex, Gemini CLI, Junie CLI, and Pi. Connect it with `central add copilot --provider=openai` (or `--provider=anthropic`), then open a new terminal. No GitHub account or Copilot subscription is required.
:
:
:
: See the [JetBrains Central CLI documentation](https://www.jetbrains.com/help/central-cli/).

New: Filter the audit log by target
: The Audit page in JetBrains Console now lets you filter the log by the target affected by an action, such as groups, users, and service accounts.
:
:
:
: See [Audit](audit.html#filter-by-target).

Changed: Contact button for user-created service accounts
: In JetBrains Console, the Contact button is also available for user-created service accounts in [AI credit consumption](ai-credits-consumption.html) and [Session explorer](session-explorer.html), emailing the user who created the account. It is not available for system-created service accounts.
:
:
:
: See [Contact the user who started a session](session-explorer.html#contact-session-user).

## Week of October 11, 2026

New: Paid plans and AI seats
: You can now upgrade to a paid plan on the AI settings page in JetBrains Console or switch back to the Basic plan.
:
:
:
: On a paid plan, users need AI seats to use AI-powered features: one seat per user. You can buy AI seats and monitor their usage.
:
:
:
: AI policies, AI provider management, agent and MCP server management, and the Analytics API are no longer in the Early Access Program (EAP) and are now available in the Business and Enterprise plans only. If you previously opted in to the EAP, you have free access to these features for a limited time.
:
:
:
: See [Plans and pricing](plans-and-pricing.html), [Manage plans](ai-settings.html#manage-plans), and [AI seats](ai-seats.html).

New: Cloud providers (Bring Your Own Cloud)
: Air Governance now lets you configure a Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC) connection to your organization's own cloud infrastructure for running remote agent tasks. You can connect an Amazon Web Services account on the new Cloud providers page under Integrations. Support for other cloud providers will be coming soon.
:
:
:
: See [Cloud providers](cloud-providers.html).

New: Model management for the JetBrains AI provider
: You can now restrict which models are available through the [JetBrains AI](ai-providers-jetbrains-ai.html) provider: disable Allow all models, then remove or add models. This feature is currently in preview.
:
:
:
: See [Manage available models](ai-providers-jetbrains-ai.html#jbai-models).

New: Combined AI credit usage and limits across users
: The AI access page in JetBrains Console now sums up the Credits used and Credit limit columns for all listed users or only for the ones you select.
:
:
:
: See [View AI credit usage and limits across users](monitor-ai-credit-usage.html#view-ai-credit-usage-and-limits-across-users).

Changed: Principals and Groups views in AI credit consumption
: The AI credit consumption report in JetBrains Console is now split into Principals and Groups tabs, letting you break credit usage down per individual consumer or per group and open a details pane for a specific consumer or group.
:
:
:
: See [AI credit consumption](ai-credits-consumption.html).

New: AI credit consumption by group in the Analytics API
: The Analytics API v2 has a new `POST /api/v2/groups/spend` endpoint that returns AI credit consumption broken down by group.
:
:
:
: See [Get AI credit consumption by group](analytics-api-v2.html#get-groups-spend-v2).

Changed: MCP servers apply to JetBrains Central CLI
: MCP servers you configure in JetBrains Console are now added to Claude Agent, Codex, Gemini CLI, and Junie CLI when users run them through JetBrains Central CLI. Users can allow or deny each server on their machine.

## Week of October 4, 2026

New: Credit limits in AI policies
: AI policies in Air Governance now include the Credit limit setting, which defines how many AI credits each user and service account assigned to the policy can spend per month. You can give a whole team a limit that differs from the default without setting the same limit for each member.
:
:
:
: On paid plans, the organization-wide default limit is now set in the default policy rather than on the AI settings page.
:
:
:
: See [Credit limit sources](ai-credit-limits.html#credit-limit-sources) and [Configuring policies](ai-policies-configure.html#credit-limit).

New: Third-party MCP connectors policy setting
: AI policies in Air Governance now include the Third-party MCP connectors setting, which controls whether users can add MCP connectors in the web version of JetBrains Air and use their tools in cloud tasks and automations.
:
:
:
: See [JetBrains Air](ai-policies-configure.html#air).

New: AI credit conversion for organizations using License Vault
: AI credits from licenses managed in License Vault are now added to your organization's shared AI credit pool using the same [conversion rates](converting-from-licenses-to-ai-seats.html#converting_ai_credits) as other licenses. To use AI features in an IDE, users may need to activate the IDE through License Vault and AI Assistant through JetBrains Central.
:
:
:
: See [License Vault](converting-from-licenses-to-ai-seats.html#license_vault).

## Week of September 27, 2026

New: Anthropic provider
: You can now add Anthropic as an AI provider in JetBrains Console. To make its models available across your organization, set it as the AI provider in the [default policy](ai-policies-configure.html#provider).
:
:
:
: See [Anthropic](ai-providers-anthropic.html).

New: GitLab Self-Managed connections
: Air Governance now supports connecting GitLab Self-Managed instances, so you can integrate your self-hosted GitLab with your organization.
:
:
:
: See [GitLab Self-Managed](gitlab-self-managed.html).

New: AI credits migration details
: JetBrains Console now provides a Migration information page where you can review how your licenses were converted to a shared pool of AI credits.
:
:
:
: See [View AI credits migration details](ai-settings.html#view-ai-credits-migration-details).

Changed: Provider and model connection check statuses
: Connection checks in JetBrains Console now show clearer error details.
:
:
:
: See [Test connection to a provider](ai-providers.html#test-connection-to-provider) and [Check model connectivity](ai-providers-manage-models.html#check-model-connectivity).

Changed: MCP servers covered by AI settings permissions
: The [Manage AI settings](roles.html#permissions_manage_ai_settings) and [View AI settings](roles.html#permissions_view_ai_settings) permissions in Air Governance now also cover [MCP servers](air-gov-mcp-servers.html) and are granted to more default roles.
:
:
:
: See [Permissions](roles.html#permissions).

Changed: Session details
: Session details now open when you click a table row, and the Agents and AI credits used fields now link directly to the corresponding settings pages.
:
:
:
: See [Session explorer](session-explorer.html).

## Week of September 20, 2026

New: Audit page
: JetBrains Console now has a centralized log of changes to users, roles, AI access, and AI credit limits in your organization, along with the information about who made them and whether they succeeded, failed, or were rejected.
:
:
:
: See [Audit](audit.html).

New: Auto-purchase of AI credits for renewed licenses
: When licenses convert to the shared AI credit pool, organizations with automatic license renewal get a matching credit [auto-purchase](ai-settings.html#auto-purchase-ai-credits).
:
:
:
: See [Automatically renewed licenses](converting-from-licenses-to-ai-seats.html#automatically-renewed-licenses).

New: Expanded JetBrains Central CLI documentation
: The [JetBrains Central CLI documentation](https://www.jetbrains.com/help/central-cli/) now has a lot more details about its operation and configuration.

## Week of August 30, 2026

New: Session explorer
: Session explorer gives you a single view of all AI sessions across your organization, including who ran each session, which agents and models were used, how long the session ran, and how many tokens and AI credits it consumed.
:
: See [Session explorer](session-explorer.html).

## Week of August 16, 2026

New: License Vault
: A new License Vault page in JetBrains Console lists the License Vault servers that belong to your organization.
