# Files

> For the complete documentation index, see [llms.txt](https://www.jetbrains.com/help/air/llms.txt).

Use Files to browse your workspace structure and open files in the editor. The tree shows the project as it is on disk, and the right-click menu of an item holds both file operations and Git actions for that file or folder.

Procedure: Open the Files tool

* Navigate to `View` in the main menu and select Files.

* On the tool panel, click Files.

## What you can do here

* [Browse files and folders](explore-projects.html#files-tool) – open files from the tree, filter it, and create, rename, or delete items.

* [Add files and folders as context](task-context.html#context-files-and-folders) so the agent works from the right part of the project.

* [Git actions for a file](git.html) – [view its history](git-browse-history.html#history_file_history), compare it with a branch or commit, or [revert its changes](git-undo-changes.html#revert_changes).
