Depending on the size and management needs, organizations can choose between different plans when using JetBrains Air.

| Plan | Price | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Basic | Free | Essential capabilities for managing users, licenses, billing, and AI usage. |
| Business | $20 per seat per month * | Advanced AI governance, access control, and analytics for organizations that want full control over AI usage. |
| Enterprise | On request | A custom plan for large organizations that need workspace-level controls, enhanced security, audit logging, and priority support. |

* You can pay monthly or annually. To buy the Business plan, go to the [AI settings](ai-settings.html#manage-plans) page. The Enterprise plan is available on request.

> **Note:**
> All plans are GDPR-compliant.

> SOC 2 Type II certification covers Air Governance and the underlying governance layer.

> **Tip:**
> If your organization previously participated in the Early Access Program (EAP), you will have free access to Business plan features for a limited time. If you would like to continue using those features, upgrade to a paid plan.

> If you don't upgrade, all advanced AI governance configuration will no longer be applied. This includes [AI policies](ai-policies.html), [BYOK providers](ai-providers.html), [agents](ai-agents.html), and [MCP servers](air-gov-mcp-servers.html).

> However, the configuration itself remains, so if you upgrade to a paid plan later, it will be applied again.

The Early Access Program (EAP) allows you to try new features before general availability. You may notice the `EAP` labels in the sidebar or in other parts of the UI, designating pages and functionality that are still in development but are available for preview.

EAP features may change before general availability and may become paid features.

Your organization can only be on one plan at a time.

The cost of using AI for your organization depends on the following:

* The amount of [AI credits](#ai-credits) your organization requires. Regardless of the plan, AI features that run through [JetBrains AI](ai-providers-jetbrains-ai.html) consume AI credits.

* The number of users that require access to AI features on a paid plan. The Business and Enterprise plans provide access to advanced AI governance features, which you pay for by purchasing [AI seats](#ai-seats-pricing). On the Basic plan, all your users can have access to AI features and spend AI credits, but the AI governance features are limited. For details, see [Feature comparison](#feature-comparison).

## AI seats

An AI seat is a unit you buy on a paid plan. A seat authorizes one user with AI access to use AI-powered features. The seat doesn't cover the AI usage, which is charged separately in [AI credits](#ai-credits).

An organization is billed for the number of AI seats it purchases, not for the number of AI seats currently assigned to users. Reassigning an AI seat from one user to another does not affect billing.

You can buy additional AI seats at any time, but you cannot reduce their number within a billing period that is already paid for.

For details about how seats are assigned to users and how to monitor them, see [AI seats](ai-seats.html).

## AI credits

In JetBrains Air, an AI credit is a single consumption unit that combines different resources related to agentic software development execution. Each service has its own price expressed in credits.

Users and service accounts consume AI credits only through [JetBrains AI](ai-providers-jetbrains-ai.html). Requests to a BYOK provider don't consume AI credits, so AI credit limits don't apply to them. The third-party provider charges your organization for this usage directly.

For information about prices related to LLM interaction, see [Model pricing](#model-pricing).

> **Note:**
> Services in Early Access Preview may be available free of charge. This includes compute infrastructure related to cloud agents and automations, and queries to the context engine.

An organization in JetBrains Air does not need to be on a paid subscription plan to buy and use AI credits. Eligible users and services consume available AI credits within the limits configured by the organization administrator.

There are different types of AI credits depending on how an organization received them:

* Any organization can buy regular AI credits directly or via an auto-purchase.

* Any organization receives AI credits included in various JetBrains licenses.

* Some organizations may receive AI credits as trial and compensation grants.

* Some organizations may be eligible for postpaid AI credits and pay only for the amount actually used.

Different types of AI credits have different expiration rules:

* Regular AI credits expire after 12 months.

* AI credits included in a license expire on the last day of the calendar month in which the license expires.

* Trial and compensation AI credits have a custom expiration date in each case.

* Postpaid AI credits do not expire. You will pay only for those you actually use.

If an organization has different types of AI credits, they are consumed in following priority order:

1. Trial and compensation AI credits

2. AI credits included in licenses

3. Regular AI credits

4. Postpaid AI credits

For each type of AI credits, those with the closest expiration date are consumed first.

## Model pricing

LLM interaction costs 1 AI credit per 1 USD (or converted proportionally to another currency) spent on the provider side. For information about the specific provider's LLM pricing, see:

* [Anthropic Claude model pricing](https://platform.claude.com/docs/en/about-claude/pricing)

> **Note:**
> Provider prices may change and various promotions may apply, which affects the final calculation of how many AI credits were consumed.
