Query Files and Consoles
This topic describes the settings you can configure for your query files.

Query Files Presentation
- Show data source name in file tree
If enabled, the name of a data source attached to a query file are displayed in the Files tool window (Alt+2) file tree.
- Use attached search path color in file tree
If enabled, the color of an attached search path is applied to a query file in the Files tool window (Alt+2) file tree.
- Use attached data source icon for query files
If enabled, a query file is displayed with the icon of an attached data source in the Files tool window (Alt+2) file tree.
Query Consoles
- Default file name
The default file name assigned to query consoles when they are created. For example, if the value is
console, new query console file names are console.sql, console_1.sql, console_2.sql, and so on.
Editor Tab Display Names
Use these settings to customize how query console names are displayed in editor tab headers.
- Template
Defines the template DataGrip uses to customize the names.
- $NAME$, $DATASOURCE$, and so on
Variables to use within the template.
- Preview
Preview of the custom name.
- Use this template for query files
Enables the template for query file names in editor tab headers, too.
