Datalore Help

Publish a notebook

You can publish a static copy of your notebook and share it using the link to the page. This allows you and other users to view the notebook output as a completed HTML-page and edit its copy collaboratively.

Publish a notebook from your workspace

The Datalore editor provides two interfaces for sharing notebooks that you have in your workspaces.

Use the Share interface (recommended)

  1. Open the notebook in the editor.

  2. Click the Share button in the upper-right corner of the editor to open the popup shown in the picture below.

  3. Click the Publish button.

  4. (Optional) After you are notified that the notebook is published successfully, you can click the icons next to the generated link to:
    • Open the published copy in a new tab

    • Copy the link to the published notebook

  1. Open the notebook in the editor.

  2. Select File | Publish from the main menu.

  3. Click the Publish button in the Publish notebook dialog. After that, a notification of the successful publishing pops up in the lower-right corner of the screen.

  4. (Optional) Click Open in the notification popup window to view the published copy and share it.

The newly published notebook is added to the Published notebook list on the Home page.

Update a published copy

Since published versions are static copies of notebooks, they are not automatically updated.

  1. Open the Share interface.

  2. Click the Update button.

  3. (Optional) Click Open in the notification popup window to view the updated copy.

Publish an uploaded notebook

You can upload a notebook specifically for publishing, without adding it to any of your workspaces.

  1. On the Home page, select Published notebooks from the menu on the left.

  2. Click the Upload notebook button in the upper-right corner of the Published notebooks list.

  3. Use the file browser window to find and add the notebook for publishing.

  4. (Optional) Click the uploaded notebook to view the published version.
