Publish a report

You can publish notebooks as reports with a shareable link. This allows you and other users to view the notebook output as a completed HTML page and edit its copy collaboratively. There are two types of reports:

  • Static reports allow viewers to only leave comments.

  • Interactive reports allow viewers to dynamically change data presentations on the page using interactive controls or IPython widgets. Viewers can also recalculate the report at any time.

Publish a static or interactive report

  1. Open the notebook in the editor.

  2. Click the Share button in the upper-right corner of the editor to open the popup shown in the picture below.

  3. (Optional) To publish an interactive report, expand the list under Publish a report and select Interactive report.

  4. Click the Publish button.

  5. (Optional) After the publication, you can click the icons next to the generated link to open the published report in a new tab or copy the link to it.

The newly published notebook is added to the Published notebook list on the Home page.

Publish a static report from Home page

You can upload a notebook specifically for publishing, without adding it to any of your workspaces. This automatically pubblishes the notebook as a static report.

  1. On the Home page, select Published notebooks from the menu on the left.

  2. Click the Upload notebook button in the upper-right corner of the Published notebooks list.

  3. Use the file browser window to find and add the notebook for publishing.

  4. (Optional) Click the uploaded notebook to view the published version.

Update a published report

Update your report from the editor to reflect the changes you made to the notebook. All users with the link get the updated copy of the notebook.

  1. Open the Share interface.

  3. (Optional) Click Open in the notification popup window to view the updated report.
