dotPeek 2017.1 Help

dotPeek's Network Activity

dotPeek may use your network connection for several purposes.

Purpose Description and Configuration
Looking for updates dotPeek can detect available updates and suggest you to download new versions.
To disable this option, clear the Download the list of available updates check-box on the Environment | Updates page of dotPeek options.
Sending out feedback dotPeek can collect and send out some information that helps us find bottlenecks and improve the quality of the product. All information is sent anonymously.
To enable or disable this activity, use the Participate anonymously in the Feedback program check-box on the Environment | Product Feedback page of dotPeek options.
Downloading PDB files In order to navigate to source code that is located on a symbol server, dotPeek may need to download PDB files first.
To toggle this option, use the Allow downloading from remote locations check-box on the Decompiler page of dotPeek options.

Normally, no additional modifications in the firewall configuration are needed. In case of any difficulties, adjust firewall settings so that devenv.exe can access the network. You can also adjust Web proxy settings for dotPeek's Internet connection on the Environment | Web Proxy Settings page of dotPeek options.
