Analyzing an Object Set
An object set is a number of objects grouped by a specific condition. For example, all objects from Gen 2, or all objects retained by some other particular object, or all objects allocated by a specific call, and so on.
The object set is a main subject of your investigation. To help you analyze object sets, dotMemory can present them in a number of views described in this section:
- Type List
- Group by Dominators
- Group by Similar Retention
- Instances
- Group by Creation Stack Trace
- Group by Generations
- Group by Shortest Path
Selecting a View
