IntelliJ IDEA 13.1.0 Web Help

IntelliJ IDEA suggests a command that allows one-click enabling of version control integration. So doing, the selected VCS becomes associated with the project root. To learn how to associate the other content roots with the different version control systems, refer to the section Associating a Directory with a Specific Version Control System.

To assign a version control system to a project root
  1. Choose VCS | Enable Version Control Integration, or press , and choose Enable Version Control Integration. The Enable Version Control Integration dialog box opens.
  2. In the Please select version control system to make your <Project Root> under drop-down list, select the version control system that you want to assign to your project root.
