IntelliJ IDEA 2016.2 Help

Creating Grails Application from Existing Code

If you already have a Grails or Griffon project, you can create a IntelliJ IDEA Grails or Griffon Application around its source code. IntelliJ IDEA recognizes structure, marks source roots, and automatically enables Groovy-based frameworks.

To create application around a Grails or Griffon project

  • Create a new project around existing code, pointing to the directory that contains the source Grails project. On the last page of the wizard that displays recognized technologies, select the ones you want to be enabled in the new application.
