Use this page to define the properties of a new Maven module.

ItemDescription
Add as module toSpecify the aggregator Maven project.
If you want the new module to be aggregated in an existing Maven project, click the ellipsis button, and select the desired aggregator. The new Maven Module will be added to the <modules> section of the pom.xml file of the aggregator, for example:
<modules> <module>mod1</module> <module>mod2</module> /modules>
none means that the new module will not be aggregated into an existing Maven project.
ParentClick the ellipsis button and select the desired parent Maven project from the list of existing ones.
If a new module has a parent, the following section is added to its pom.xml file, for example:
<parent> <groupId>org.something</groupId> <artifactId>parent1</artifactId> <version>0.1</version> </parent>
none means that the new module doesn't have a parent and thus doesn't inherit properties and profiles of any Maven project.
GroupIdSpecify GroupId of the new module, which will be added to the pom.xml file of the module. By default, GroupId equals the module name. If a parent Maven project is specified, this coordinate can be inherited from the parent. To do that, select the Inherit checkbox.
ArtifactIdSpecify ArtifactId of the new module, which will be added to the pom.xml file of the module. By default, ArtifactId equals the module name.
VersionSpecify Version of the new module, which will be added to the pom.xml file of the module. If a parent Maven project is specified, this coordinate can be inherited from the parent. To do that, select the Inherit checkbox.
