LinkedIn Connected Apps
LinkedIn Connected Apps is an IntelliJ IDEA plugin that tracks your usage of IDE features, assigns a proficiency level, and lets you showcase it on LinkedIn as a verified credential.
Install the LinkedIn Connected Apps plugin
This functionality relies on the LinkedIn Connected Apps plugin, which you need to install and enable.
Press Ctrl+Alt+S to open settings and then select .
Open the Marketplace tab, find the LinkedIn Connected Apps plugin, and click Install (restart the IDE if prompted).
See your proficiency level
The plugin automatically tracks how you use the IntelliJ IDEA features. It does not change your general data sharing settings. Until you connect your LinkedIn account, your proficiency level is stored locally.
To see your current proficiency level, click
LinkedIn Connected Apps in the status bar at the bottom of your IDE.
Add your proficiency badge to LinkedIn
Click
LinkedIn Connected Apps in the status bar at the bottom of your IDE.
Click Connect to LinkedIn and follow the instructions in your browser.
If you are not signed in to your LinkedIn account, you will be prompted to do that.
Allow the plugin to sync your proficiency with LinkedIn.
Your current proficiency level will appear in the Connected Accounts section on your profile.
Proficiency levels
Your proficiency level updates automatically as you use more IntelliJ IDEA features. You can progress along one of the following paths:

When you reach a new level, the plugin widget updates automatically.

Disconnect from LinkedIn
Click
LinkedIn Connected Apps in the status bar at the bottom of your IDE.
Click
in the plugin widget and select Disconnect from LinkedIn.
Alternatively, disconnect the plugin in your LinkedIn settings.
