In this page, enable performing specific version control related operations in the background without any activities from your side.

Background Operations

In this area, select the version control-related operations to be performed in the background.

Changelists to cache initially

Specify the number of changelists to be stored in the cache.

Refresh changes every ... minutes

Specify how often your VCS should check for new changes and refresh the cache.

The spin box is only enabled when the Enable background processes checkbox is selected.

"Changed on server" conflicts

Select the Check every x minutes option if you want IntelliJ IDEA to check whether files modified locally or checked out by you have been modified by someone else.
