Transitioning organization management from JetBrains Account
JetBrains is gradually moving organizations from JetBrains Account to JetBrains Console for organization management. The console brings new tools to help you manage your company’s assets, but your existing licensing and billing workflows remain unchanged. Read on to see how your familiar org management features fit into JetBrains Console.
JetBrains Console is designed to help organizations manage access to shared resources, like product licenses or AI quotas purchased from JetBrains and to help users with organization-management privileges keep their personal and organizational resources separate. So if you're an org or team admin or a user with another admin role, all your organization-related management and resources are now available in JetBrains Console. And if you're using individual JetBrains product licenses, you can still access them through JetBrains Account.
Accessing JetBrains Console and transition details
The following details will help you transition smoothly from JetBrains Account to JetBrains Console, understand how access works and what to expect:
Role-based access: All admin roles and contacts have been automatically transferred from JetBrains Account to JetBrains Console. Only users with these admin roles will have access to JetBrains Console.
Authentication: Users with admin access log in to JetBrains Console using their existing JetBrains Account credentials. JetBrains Console uses your JetBrains Account for authentication rather than creating separate accounts.
New users: If someone in your organization needs access to JetBrains Console but doesn't have a JetBrains Account, they must first create one. Having a JetBrains Account alone doesn't give you access to your organization's management.
Retained functionality: All features and resources previously available in JetBrains Account remain accessible when using JetBrains Console. The console serves as an enhanced management interface for organizational resources.
Consistent navigation: The structure of JetBrains Console closely aligns with org management in JetBrains Account, ensuring a familiar environment as you transition to the new interface and org management capabilities.

Initial data sync: All existing user data from your organization in JetBrains Account is automatically synchronized to your JetBrains Console. This includes user profiles, roles, team memberships, and license assignments.
Enhanced user management: JetBrains Console provides more comprehensive tools for managing users, allowing administrators to add, remove, and manage user access with greater control and visibility than was possible in JetBrains Account.
Ongoing synchronization: While JetBrains Console becomes the primary interface for user management, it is still linked to JetBrains Account to ensure consistency across both systems. Changes made to users' profiles in JetBrains Console will be reflected in the individual users' JetBrains Accounts.
