File Types
Use this page to manage the list of file types and extension patterns to be recognized by AppCode.

| Recognized file types | This list box displays all the default and custom file types currently supported by AppCode. Use the Add, Edit, and Remove buttons to manage the contents of the list box. Default types cannot be edited or removed. | |
 | ⌘N | Click this button to open the New File Type dialog and define a new custom file type there. |
 | ⏎ | Click this button to open the Edit File Type dialog box and edit the selected file type there. This button is disabled when a default file type is selected. |
 | ⌘⌦ | Click this button to delete the selected file type from the list. This button is disabled when a default file type is selected. |
| Registered Patterns | Shown in this area are all the registered extensions associated with the file type selected in the Recognized file types list. Use  , and to manage the corresponding patterns. | |
| ⌘N | Use this icon or shortcut to open the Add wildcard dialog box and specify a new pattern using wildcards there. |
| ⏎ | Use this icon or shortcut to edit the selected pattern. |
| ⌘⌦ | Use this icon or shortcut to remove the selected pattern from the list. |
| Ignore files and folders | In this text box, specify the files and folders, which you want to be ignored by AppCode. Such files and folders will be completely excluded from any kind of processing. By default the list includes temporary files, service files related to version control systems, etc. You can specify multiple names or wildcard masks, with semicolons ( Below is the default setting, in case you need to restore it:
