Create Workspace

The dialog box opens when you click the Create button or select a workspace and click the Edit button in the Manage TFS Servers and Workspaces dialog box.

Use this dialog box to define a new workspace or update the existing one by selecting the necessary folders on the TFS server and mapping them to local folders.

ItemDescription
NameIn this text box, specify the name of the new workspace.
CommentIn this text box, describe briefly what this workspace is intended for.
Server This read-only field displays the URL address of the TFS server on which the new workspace will be created and which is selected in the Manage TFS Servers and Workspaces dialog box.
OwnerThis read-only field displays your TFS user name.
ComputerThis read-only field displays the name of your computer in the network domain.

Working Folders

In this area, define mappings between the necessary folders on the TFS server and local folders.

ItemDescription
StatusFrom this drop-down list, select the status of a new mapping.
Local pathIn this text box, specify the path to the local folder. Use the browseButton.png button, if necessary.
Server pathIn this text box, specify the path to the corresponding folder on the server.
AddClick this button to create a new mapping.
RemoveClick this button to remove the selected mapping from the list.
