PhpStorm 2024.1 Help

Code Inspection: Missing visibility

Reports the properties, constants, and methods that are declared without visibility definition.

According to PSR-12, visibility MUST be defined on:

  • All properties,

  • All constants if your project's PHP minimum version supports constant visibilities (PHP 7.1 or later),

  • All methods.

See PSR-12: Extended Coding Style (php-fig.org) for details.

Suppress an inspection in the editor

  1. Place the caret at the highlighted line and press Alt+Enter or click the Intention action icon.

  2. Click the arrow next to the inspection you want to suppress and select the necessary suppress action.
