Color-Coding Functions

When you work with performance profiling results, you don't normally investigate the behavior of a single function. In fact, you usually study the behavior of different sets of functions and how they interact. dotTrace is able to highlight function calls, so you can focus on functions that you are interested in and separate functions of no interest. For more information about setting a formatting rule, see Formatting Functions.

After applying a formatting rule or rules, your snapshot may look like in the example below.
