Deleting Snapshots

In dotTrace you can delete separate snapshots or a group of snapshots related to a certain profiling configuration at once.

To delete a particular snapshot:

  • In the dotTrace Home window, do one of the following:
      1. On the left panel, choose Recent | Snapshots.
      2. In the list of snapshots, find a snapshot you want to delete and click the corresponding /help/img/dotnet/2016.3/ThemedIcon.Delete.Screen.[Gray].png button.
      1. On the left panel, choose Recent | Launches.
      2. Find a profiling launch configuration which was used to collect a desired snapshot.
      3. Expand the profiling launch configuration by clicking >.
      4. In the list of snapshots, find a desired snapshot and click the corresponding /help/img/dotnet/2016.3/ThemedIcon.Delete.Screen.[Gray].png button.

To delete all snapshots collected using a particular configuration:

  1. On the left panel, choose Recent | Launches.
  2. Find a profiling launch configuration which was used to collect desired snapshots.
  3. Click the /help/img/dotnet/2016.3/ThemedIcon.Delete.Screen.[Gray].png button for this configuration.
