Deleting Snapshots

In dotTrace you can delete separate snapshots or a group of snapshots related to a certain profiling configuration at once.

To delete a particular snapshot:

  • In the dotTrace Home window, do one of the following:
      1. On the left panel, choose Recent | Snapshots.
      2. In the list of snapshots, find a snapshot you want to delete and click the corresponding ThemedIcon Delete Screen Gray button.
      1. On the left panel, choose Recent | Launches.
      2. Find a profiling launch configuration which was used to collect a desired snapshot.
      3. Expand the profiling launch configuration by clicking >.
      4. In the list of snapshots, find a desired snapshot and click the corresponding ThemedIcon Delete Screen Gray button.

To delete all snapshots collected using a particular configuration:

  1. On the left panel, choose Recent | Launches.
  2. Find a profiling launch configuration which was used to collect desired snapshots.
  3. Click the ThemedIcon Delete Screen Gray button for this configuration.

If your disk is low on free space, you have an option to delete snapshot cache files. There are no consequences other than slower opening of existing snapshots.

To delete snapshots cache files:

  1. On the left panel, choose Preferences.
  2. In Clear Caches, click Clear Now.
