In this page, configure filters to maintain your lists of TODO items in the TODO tool window and define TODO patterns to be used in filters.
Patterns
In this area, create and manage the list of available TODO patterns.
| Item | Description |
|---|---|
| Icon | This read-only field displays the icon that is assigned to the current pattern. (This icon appears in the TODO tool window as a marker for the corresponding TODO items.) |
| Case sensitive | This read-only checkbox indicates whether the current pattern is case sensitive or not. The status is changed in the Edit Pattern dialog box. |
| Pattern | This read-only field displays the regular expression that describes the TODO pattern. WebStorm recognizes regular expressions in the source code against the specified patterns and displays them in the TODO tool window. |
 or Alt+Insert | Use this icon or shortcut to open the Add Pattern dialog box, where you can create a new ToDo pattern by specifying a regular expression. |
 or Enter | Use this icon or shortcut to open the Edit Pattern dialog box, where you can modify the selected pattern. |
 or Alt+Delete | Use this icon or shortcut to remove the selected pattern from the list. |
Filters
In this area, manage the list of available filters.
| Item | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | This read-only field shows a list of filter names. |
| Patterns | This read-only field shows the names of patterns included in the current filter. A filter can contain several patterns. |
| or Alt+Insert | Use this icon or shortcut to open the Add Filter dialog box, where you can define a new filter. |
| or Enter | Use this icon or shortcut to open the Edit Filter dialog box, where you can edit the settings for the selected filter. |
| or Alt+Delete | Use this icon or shortcut to delete the selected filter. |
