Restore Default Permissions for Roles

YouTrack defines a set of default roles and the default permissions that are assigned to each role.

If you have concerns that the permissions for a service are not configured correctly, you can reset the permissions to the default scheme.

To reset the default permissions for a service:

  1. From the Administration menu, select Access Management > Roles.

  2. Click the name of the role you want to restore in the list.

  3. Select the Permissions tab.

  4. Click the Restore default permissions button.

    • A confirmation dialog opens.

  5. Select the services that you want to reset to the default permission scheme.

  6. Click the Confirm button.

    • The default permissions are restored to the current role.
