Manage the Size of Your Database
Each YouTrack InCloud subscription is subject to a pre-defined storage limit. If you exceed your storage limit, you can either upgrade your plan to access more storage space or reduce the amount of data that is stored in your instance.
Use the guidelines on this page to maintain a manageable database size.
The most effective way to reduce the size of your database is to delete old projects. When you delete a project:
- All of the issues that belong to the project are deleted.
- All of the files that are attached to these issues are deleted.
Archiving a project does not reduce the size of your database.
If you want to delete older issues, but still want to keep the project open, use this workaround:
- Create a new project.
- Locate all of the issues in your project that were resolved six months ago or earlier.
- Use a command to move all of these issues to the new project.
- Delete the new project.
