Agile Board Keyboard Shortcuts

YouTrack is a keyboard-centric application and provides enough keyboard support to let you forget about using the mouse in most cases. For almost any operation, whether it's creating, editing or navigating between issues, commenting, changing attributes — YouTrack provides a shortcut.

These shortcuts are mapped to keys on a keyboard with a functional layout for the English language. Keys that differ between US and UK variants are not mapped to any shortcuts. If your keyboard has a visual layout for a different language, you can switch the language preference for your operating system to English and use these shortcuts with the default mapping. `Ctrl` + `Alt` + `J` or any letter	`Control` + `Option` + `J` or any letter	Open the Apply Command dialog. Only recognized when you have focus on or have selected at least one card.
`Esc`	`Esc`	Switch focus between the board and the search box. Deselect all selected cards.
`Spacebar`	`Space bar`	Toggle the selection of the current card.
`F2`	`F2`	Open the current card in edit mode.
`F3`	`F3`	Open the current card in view mode.
`F4`	`F4`	Edit the estimation for the current card.
`Delete`	`Delete`	Remove the selected cards from the board. If your board uses sprints, the cards are removed from the selected sprint.
`Left Arrow`	`Left Arrow`	Set focus to the card on the left.
`Right Arrow`	`Right Arrow`	Set focus to the card on the right.
`Up Arrow`	`Up Arrow`	Set focus to the card above the current card.
`Down Arrow`	`Down Arrow`	Set focus to the card above the current card.
`Home`	`Home`	Set focus to the first card that is visible on the board.
`End`	`End`	Set focus to the last card that is visible on the board.

`Ctrl` + `M`	`Control` + `M`	Assign the current card to yourself.
`Ctrl` + `Alt` + `Shift` + `Insert`	`Control` + `Option` + `Shift` + `N`	Add an issue as a new swimlane. Only recognized when the board uses issues to identify swimlanes.
`Ctrl` + `Shift` + `\|`	`Control` + `Shift` + `\|`	Expand or collapse all swimlanes.
`Ctrl` + `Alt` + `A`	`Control` + `Option` + `A`	Open a dialog to locate and attach files.
`Alt` + `Insert`	`Control` + `N`	Add a card to the board.
`Ctrl` + `Alt` + `Insert`	`Ctrl` + `Option` + `N`	Create a subtask for the current card.
`Ctrl` + `Shift` + `Backspace`	`Control` + `Shift` + `Delete`	Toggle backlog visibility.
`Tab`	`Tab`	Select the next custom field to the right. Only recognized with card sizes that show custom fields (M-XL).
`Shift` + `Tab`	`Shift` + `Tab`	Select the next custom field to the left. Only recognized with card sizes that show custom fields (M-XL).
`Ctrl` + `Shift` + `!`	`Control` + `Shift` + `!`	Open your personal list of Saved Searches and Tags. Press `Esc` to close.
`Ctrl` + `Alt` + `K`	`Control` + `Option` + `K`	Open the Apply Command dialog with the most recent command in the input field.
`Control` + `C`	`⌘` + `C`	Copy the issue ID for the current card to the clipboard.
`Ctrl` + `Alt` + `Shift` + `C`	`Option` + `Shift` + `⌘` + `C`	Copy the issue ID and summary for the current card to the clipboard.
`Ctrl` + `Alt` + `D`	`Control` + `Option` + `D`	Switch to TV mode. Press Esc to exit.
`Ctrl` + `Slash`	`Control` + `Slash`	View keyboard shortcuts.
