If to access the Internet IntelliJ IDEA should use an HTTP proxy, specify the proxy settings on this page.

Item	Description
No proxy	Click this radio button to connect to the Internet without a proxy.
Auto-detect proxy settings	Click this radio button to enable using an auto-configuration URL to configure the web proxy settings. When this option is selected, the following controls become enabled: Item Description Automatic proxy configuration URL Select this check box to manually specify the location of the proxy settings file, in case IntelliJ IDEA does not find it automatically. Clear passwords Click this button to clear the passwords to the specified proxy.
Manual proxy configuration	Click this radio button to enable manual proxy configuration. When this option is selected, the following controls become enabled: Item Description HTTP Click this radio button if you want IntelliJ IDEA to use an HTTP proxy when accessing the Internet. SOCKS Click this radio button if you want IntelliJ IDEA to use the Socket Secure protocol when accessing the Internet. Host name Specify the proxy hostname or IP address. Port number Specify the proxy port number. No proxy for Specify here the patterns for the URLs or IP addresses, for which proxy should not be specified. Proxy authentication Select this check box if your proxy requires authentication. Login Specify the name of the user on whose behalf IntelliJ IDEA will connect to the proxy. Password Specify the password associated with the user name (login). Remember password Select this check box if you want IntelliJ IDEA to remember the password. Otherwise, you will be asked to provide the password every time IntelliJ IDEA connects to the proxy.
