Using Command Line Tools

Introduction

IntelliJ IDEA supports running commands of Zend Framework Tool, Symfony, and other third-party and custom tools. IntelliJ IDEA provides completion and parameter info via an XML descriptor.

Note that PHP-specific command line tools work only with local PHP interpreters, see Configuring Local PHP Interpreters and Configuring Remote PHP Interpreters.

Before you start working with Command Line tools, make sure that the Command Line Tool support plugin is downloaded and enabled, as described in Installing, Updating and Uninstalling Plugins.
