Introduction

You can add facets to modules as well as remove them.

When adding facets to a module, take into consideration the facet dependencies, and also the possibility to add multiple instances of the same facet.

Adding a facet to a module

To add a facet to a module
  1. Open the Project Structure dialog (Ctrl+Shift+Alt+S).
  2. Under Project Settings, select Modules.
  3. Select the module you want to add a facet to, click add, and select the facet you want to add.

    Note that certain facets have other facets as their parents. To add such facets, you should select a parent facet (rather than the module) prior to clicking add.

    For example, a parent facet for a JSF or a Struts facet is a Web facet. So a JSF or Struts facet can be added only if a Web facet is currently selected. For more information, see Available Facets and Their Dependencies.

  4. Configure the facet settings, and click OK in the Project Structure dialog.

Removing a facet from a module

To remove a facet from a module
  1. Open the Project Structure dialog (Ctrl+Shift+Alt+S).
  2. Under Project Settings, select Modules.
  3. Expand the module node and select the facet to be removed.
  4. Click Remove.
  5. Click OK in the Project Structure dialog.

Note that no files are physically deleted as a result.
